Sarasota, Florida-based Voalte has added another partner to its growing list this week: Epocrates. Voalte has inked a deal with the popular medical reference company to bundle Epocrates Essentials premium clinical suite as a part of the point-of-care communications company's offering. Voalte's offering is intended for use by staff in acute care hospitals in the US and Canada -- especially nurses. Voalte already has partner relationships with Philips, Meru Networks, and Rauland-Borg.
“By adding Epocrates’ trusted content to our portfolio of voice, alarm and text capabilities, we are arming caregivers with a multifaceted resource that enables them to execute many activities from one device, enhancing patient care and safety, and increasing productivity,” Trey Lauderdale, vice president of innovation at Voalte stated in a press release.
Last year Voalte announced a deal with Philips Emergin to integrate Emergin's alert management platform with Voalte's voice, alarm and text service for Apple iPod touch and iPhone devices. Earlier this year Voalte announced an integration that enables patient calls from Rauland-Borg’s Responder 5 Nurse Call system to connect directly to the caregiver’s Voalte-enabled iPhone. Late last year Voalte announced a partnership with Meru Networks, a big name in enterprise WiFi networking.
