Seems to me that Biomagnetic Therabeutics & Cellphone Technology are the future, and it's here now, this deserves to be driven forward by the White House. This is a massive opportunity for GOOD

Wireless and mobile technology is todays PC. People all over the world have cell phones and soon they will all have smartphone. The access is the differentiators here, along with the size and cost. Soon everyone will have the ability to have their own health devices such as EKG or PHR with them at home or wherever they are at a much reduced rate. That does not mean that you will be able to use them for everything. There are PHR that claim that you can view x-rays on your iPhone. Well that may be a stretch, not unless the image is very low resolution and the doctor doesn't need to see much. But that to can change. Fifteen years ago you had to have a special very expensive Silcon Graphs machine to do HD graphic. Now you can do it on a laptop.

Now that the Healthcare system is starting to come on-line the sky is the limit to what can be done and mobile devices will play a large role.

Interesting post! R&D for new technologies that enable doctors to improve the speed of tests, as well as improve patient engagement in their healthcare, is an exciting prospect. This goes beyond PHRs, such as Microsoft HealthVault, which are patient empowering; this is an opportunity to create new technologies that change the way we approach health care. Fascinating!
