<description>It&#039;s my opinion that health systems can receive great benefit from connecting to the iPhone and other smartphones utilizing the some of the smartphone apps now available. Interoperability is now possible between their patient portals, proprietary PHRs and other tools they provide their patients to advance wellness and prevention using iPhone and Google phone applications like motionPHR, a personal health record available on the iPhone, or myMedBox, a lite version on the Google phone.

Communication Software, Inc. also has a sponsorship program to work with health systems who are interested in providing a smartphone PHR, a personal health record, to their patients. We offer an easy and inexpensive model for organizations who want to take advantage of leading edge technologies.

It is one of the benefits we will provide between web-based PHRs and our own iPhone motionPHR Personal health record. Communication Software, Inc. supports nteroperability to web-based PHR products as the key to connecting to the HIEs, and NHIE &amp; the NHIN as they evolves.

It&#039;s good to see Aetna taking the leap into mobile apps and recognizing the value it can bring to their patients and their organization.
