Great post Brian, it is great to hear more carriers are encouraging the growth of mHealth technologies. Hopefully we will see the same trend spread to the U.S. as well. In addition to all the uses you've listed, the physicians that work with us at Globaltel Media have also recommended using SMS technology for things like: remote diagnostic information, mobile x-rays, sending test results, appointment scheduling, and mobile rehabilitation demonstrations via mobile video. The possibilities are endless and seeing adoption from a prominent carrier like Vodafone is certainly a step in the right direction.

Healthcare organizations are more than happy to embrace wireless technology. Obviously SMS and other technologies are useful but HIPAA issues still have healthcare organizations cautious, and they should be.
