Proteus Digital Health, which offers an ingestible sensor and digital medicine system, has hired Molly O’Neill as its chief commercial officer. O'Neill previously served as SVP of business development at Tenet Health, a healthcare services company. Before working at Tenet, O'Neill worked at Ascension Health Care Network, Inova Health System, and Duke University Health System. At Proteus, O'Neill will develop partnerships with major health systems, payers, and other provider customers to commercialize Proteus' digital medicine offering.

Walgreens President of Digital and Chief Marketing Officer Sona Chawla has left the company for Kohl's where she will serve as Chief Operating Officer, according to Street Insider. Chawla spent seven years at Walgreens and among other responsibilities, led the teams that launched digital health coaching programs and telehealth services at the company. 

AliveCor, which offers smartphone-enabled ECG devices and services, has announced former Google SVP Vic Gundotra as its new CEO. Gundotra, who left Google in 2014 after eight years — including a few heading up Google+, replaces Euan Thomson, an AliveCor board member and Khosla Ventures investor, who assumed the role of interim CEO in 2013. Gundotra becomes AliveCor’s fourth CEO in almost as many years.

Misfit founder Sonny Vu has been hired as president and chief technology officer of connected devices at Fossil as part of the company's $260 million acquisition.

Vitals has appointed Dennis Charland as its SVP of sales. Charland previously served as vice president of national and consultant sales at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. At Vitals, Charland will focus on driving sales of Vitals’ transparency products. Earlier this year, Vitals hired Kyle Raffaniello, former Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of ValueOptions, as its first Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Aledade, a tech-enabled accountable care company, has hired Erica Galvez, who previously served as interoperability portfolio manager at the ONC, as its health information exchange lead, according to HealthcareIT News. At Aledade, Galvez will focus on pushing for better ADT data streaming. Aledade was founded by former national coordinator for health information technology at HHS Dr. Farzad Mostashari.
