Closed captioning for mobile phone calls: Consumer Cellular, which describes itself as the exclusive wireless provider for AARP members, launched a new offering this week called Mobile Captions Service. The service is similar to closed caption on television, and enables people with hearing loss to read typed captions of what is being said on a wireless phone display in real-time as the conversation is taking place.
