Cedars-Sinai and Techstars announced the 11 companies that will join its first digital health accelerator class.
The two organizations first announced their plan to launch a digital health accelerator in Los Angeles last year, in October. The accelerator program aims to work with companies that are developing hardware or software offerings that help patients manage and improve their health or help healthcare professionals improve care delivery.
The three-month accelerator will offer participants $120,000 in funding as well as three months of mentorship and guidance from senior leadership at Cedars-Sinai and the Techstars network.
“All of the companies participating in the accelerator are pushing the envelope to transform the healthcare delivery system,” Cedars-Sinai Chief Information Officer Darren Dworkin said in a statement. “We are proud to be partnered with Techstars and their mission to empower entrepreneurs to bring the best new technologies to market.”
