Manage My Health adds patient diary feature for recording symptoms

New Zealand-based Manage My Health has recently launched a new diary feature on its patient portal to enable remote monitoring of patients' symptoms.

The My Health Diary function is where patients fill out information about their symptoms, including self-monitored blood pressure, oxygen levels, and other indicators like fever and headache. Health providers are given real-time access to such data, along with observations and visualisation of trends of their patient's symptoms.

The health tech firm is still working to integrate the diary feature with different health devices to enable providers to remotely monitor their patients at home. 

Founded in 2008, Manage My Health has been used by millions of patients and over 600 health centres in New Zealand.

Synergy Radiology partners with SNAC to incorporate AI in medical imaging

Medical imaging provider Synergy Radiology has entered into a multi-year agreement with Sydney Neuroimaging Analysis Centre to develop new AI solutions for clinical radiology.

The radiology service provider offers a full range of diagnostic and interventional radiology services in 10 centres in Sydney. Its newest partner, SNAC, develops software-based solutions to automate image analysis and radiology workflows for diagnosis and research. 

The agreement is for the integration of SNAC's AI products with Synergy's existing radiology workflows. Their collaboration will also hasten the release of new radiology solutions, according to a media release. 

"This collaboration agreement with Synergy, a premier Australian provider of clinical imaging services, is a pivotal milestone for SNAC, a testament to the value of our healthcare solutions for patients and doctors, and an unparalleled opportunity to super-charge our ambitious product pipeline in both informatics and imaging AI," SNAC COO Tim Wang commented. 

Prashant Menon, country head of Qualitas Healthcare Australia, in which Synergy Radiology is a part of, said the collaboration between the two organisations will place it at the "forefront of artificial intelligence development, with smart worklists, improved radiologist productivity and enhanced reporting for our patients and referring clinicians". Qualitas Healthcare provides GP and dental services in 50 practices across metro Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Synapse's billing system integrated into IMEXHS's radiology software

Listed radiology solutions company IMEXHS has collaborated with Synapse Medical to integrate the latter's enterprise medical billing system into its cloud-based medical imaging software, Aquila.

According to Synapse CEO Dr Margaret Faux, IMEXHS wanted to automate outdated manual processes like batching and receipting and resolve issues such as rejected Medicare billings. By incorporating its rules-based medical billing system into Aquila, IMEXHS's users "can expect their arrears to reduce from usually over 20% to below 1%," she claimed. 

Synapse's rules-based medical billing system currently embeds over 65,000 Medicare billing rules. 

"The key for us was a modular platform that could be designed for any client, no matter what size or complexity," said IMEXHS CEO and co-founder German Arango. 

This integration, the companies said, enables minimal human touchpoints from patient appointments through receipted payments. It offers not only a software "but [also] a fully supported billing advisory and support service," they claimed.
