QALO, a company that makes silicon rings, announced the release of its health-tracking ring QRNT equipped with nano technology.

The ring combines silicone material with health-tracking features, including measuring heart rate, oxygen saturation, heart rate variability, sleep stages and stress levels. These measurements are accessible via a free app without a subscription cost.

QALO is also launching interchangeable silicone QRNT covers that can be replaced to match an outfit or mood. The covers feature scratch-protection.

"Since revolutionizing the silicone ring market, QALO has been committed to creating products that seamlessly integrate into active, everyday lives," Jacob Brewer, president of WIN Brand Group, which owns the QALO brand, said in a statement.

"With the QRNT Ring, we're excited to bring a quality product at a price that is more approachable. By combining our signature silicone material with leading-edge technology, we've created a product that embodies our vision of making personalized style and wellness accessible for all."

THE LARGER TREND

In December, health-tracking ring-maker Oura announced it closed a $200 million Series D funding round led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Dexcom. The investment raised the company’s valuation to $5.2 billion.

Last year, Happy Health, a health technology company, received FDA clearance for Happy Health, a wearable device designed to combine medical accuracy with patient comfort. The ring monitors vital health metrics, including sleep, blood oxygen levels, heart rate, temperature and brain activity.

According to Research and Markets, the smart rings market was valued at $232.12 million in 2023, and is expected to reach $455.56 million by 2029, rising at a CAGR of 11.90%.

Technological advances have been a primary driver behind the growth of the global smart-ring market. Advancements in microelectronics, sensor technology and miniaturization have allowed manufacturers to include an assortment of features into the devices.
