2015 was the beginning of reimbursement for digital services delivered to patients outside of care settings. It was the year of the remote visit. It was a year of market consolidation for many areas in digital health, most especially among wellness tracking platforms. The past year blazed a new trail for later-stage digital health companies and their investors thanks to two relatively high profile IPOs. There were lower lows too though: 2015 also brought with it a number of high profile failures, shutdowns and market corrections.
