wellbe-patients_0Health IT company Wellbe is expanding its online patient navigation and engagement platform by partnering with Physiotec and Staywell. Physiotec delivers online rehabilitation programs and Staywell delivers a comprehensive library of guidelines-based content.

In the face of the converging forces of consumerism and value-based care, hospitals are seeking to enable robust patient participation in healthcare. Wellbe’s CarePlus Solutions Program brings together best-of-breed capabilities from partners that offer advanced capabilities for online care delivery, the company said.

Now available as plug-and-play options on Wellbe’s cloud-based Connected Care platform, Physiotec and Staywell provide client organizations with the flexibility to tailor their systems and content to program needs, the company added.

“The addition of these two new members to the expanding Wellbe portfolio of building blocks furthers our commitment and ability to give hospitals and clinics the solutions they require to address payer and consumer expectations for value-driven care,” Wellbe founder and CEO James Dias said.

Through the partnership with Physiotec, healthcare providers can now add professionally developed, clinically appropriate exercise and rehabilitation videos to their Connected Care systems to engage patients with online physical therapy.

“While digital in-practice and remote care are on the agenda of healthcare systems all over the world, very few organizations have managed wide implementation of easily accessible and working solutions,” Mathieu Gobeil, director of business development at Physiotec, said. “The market value resulting from the strategic partnering of our organizations extends well beyond our technologies.”

The partnership with StayWell provides Wellbe client organizations a system for offering their patients up-to-date, guidelines-based educational content.

“StayWell specializes in the kind of credible, engaging content that healthcare consumers need; the kind that grabs people’s attention and drives positive outcomes,” P.J. Bell, co-chief content officer at StayWell, said. “Integrating our content into Wellbe’s solution will provide a solid foundation of accurate, easy-to-access information. It’s going to help people reduce their risk of future health problems, manage current conditions, and prepare for and recover from procedures.”
