GreatCall, a tech company for aging individuals that was recently acquired by Best Buy, has partnered with Lyft to launch GreatCall Rides, a service that allows seniors to book rides without the use of a smartphone app. Instead, seniors with Jitterbug phones press a single button to be connected to an operator that will coordinate the ride.

The service was piloted in five markets, and is now available across the US, according to the companies.

Minnesota-based Winona Health will be deploying Bright.md’s telehealth services through the latter’s asynchronous SmartExam platform. Bright.md’s service enables remote care for more than 400 common conditions around the clock, offering patients treatment plans from in-network providers often within the hour, according to the company.

Virtual care and patient engagement platform maker Vivify Health has struck a new agreement with Coffyville, Kansas-based Windsor Place At-Home Care. The partnership replaces the remote care management services of another unnamed large telehealth vendor with Vivify’s own, and will allow certain physicians to remotely monitor biometrics and nursing notes with Windsor patients.

Cognitive assessment maker Cognetivity Neurosciences has signed a commercial agreement to integrate its tool with with insurtech company dacadoo’s digital health platform. As a result, Cognetivity’s assessment will now be available alongside other digital engagement and coaching offerings to dacadoo’s health and life insurance customers.

"This agreement represents a significant opportunity for us to make our proprietary technology available to a mass user base within the new and rapidly-growing area of non-clinical health monitoring,” Cognetivity Neurosciences’ CEO Dr. Sina Habibi said in a statement. “Whether it be via our professional platform for early cognitive impairment diagnosis, which is in its final stages of clinical validation, or our at-home health monitoring tool being integrated with dacadoo, our key mission remains clearly focused on giving people control of their health and ensuring the best possible health outcomes for as many people as possible."

Premier Inc., an alliance of hospitals and systems that uses analytics and other tools to improve care, has acquired clinical decision support (CDS) toolmaker Stanson Health for an undisclosed sum. Stanson’s software integrates with EHR workflows to promote best practices, and is currently active in roughly 300 healthcare locations.

“This strategically significant acquisition complements our core data and analytics offerings and enables us to expand the reach of our solutions directly to the point of care, where they can have the biggest impact,” Susan DeVore, President and CEO of Premier, said in a statement. “Stanson’s CDS tools will be key to realize Premier’s vision of an enterprise analytics and performance improvement platform, allowing us to provide evidence-based recommendations that improve quality and safety, while avoiding treatments that do not add value. At the same time, Stanson is developing tools that we believe will provide an attractive option to improve the burdensome process of prior authorization, which today is incredibly frustrating for both patients and providers.”

Nevada-based Renown Health has brought PeriGen’s PeriWatch labor surveillance and analysis software into its childbirthing unit. The company’s FDA-cleared PeriWatch Cues software uses AI to provide objective, consistent assessments of fetal heart rates, and is directly integrated into Epic’s EHR system.

“Our clinical team works tirelessly to help our mothers and babies have the best outcomes possible,” Natalie Nicholson, director of nursing for Renown Women’s Health, said in a statement. “Before PeriGen, we looked at long streams of paper to discern if one data point was cause for intervention, making it difficult to identify worrisome trends quickly. Now, we have several hours of information at our fingertips, along with the analytics to add further context.”

Telehealth and remote examination company Tyto Care has signed an agreement with the Greater Buffalo United Accountable Healthcare Network (GBUAHN) that will outfit patient health navigators with Tyto products for use during in-home visits. The technology will allow GBUAHN’s staff to conduct live or asynchronous telehealth visits when visiting their Medicaid patients.

“GBUAHN is thrilled to be the first health care company in Western New York to utilize the Tyto Care equipment and platform,” Dr. Raul Vazquez, CEO of G-Health Enterprises, said in a statement. “Now our PHNs have the ability to assist physicians remotely utilizing the Tyto devices.
