Solera Health hires US Medicaid chief medical officer Dr. Andrey Ostovsky, Iora Health names Dr. Tyler Jung chief medical officer

Solera Health has tapped Dr. Andrey Ostovsky to fill the role as next chief medical officer and vice president of behavioral health. Ostovsky previously served as the chief medical officer of the US Medicaid Program. 

“Over the past 12 months I’ve witnessed firsthand Solera’s incredible growth trajectory and the market’s validation of the company’s integrated network,” Ostrovsky said in a statement. “In this new position I’m excited to extend the executive team’s success beyond diabetes and social determinants of health to include behavioral health, a space that is particularly well suited to benefit from the company’s program and services delivery model.”

Chicago-based Pritzker Group Venture Capital has announced a slew of promotions. As of yesterday Sonia Nagar was promoted to partner, Ty Findley was moved to vice president and Eric Duboe is now a senior associate. Before coming to the Pritzker Group Nagar served as vice president for RetailMeNot. She has been a vice president at Pritzker since 2016. Findley has been with the company since 2017, when he joined as senior associate. Before coming to the firm he worked at GE Ventures and G51 Capital. Duboe joined the firm in 2016 as an associate. Prior to this he worked in investment baking with William Blair & Company’s technology group. 

On Monday Iora Health named Dr. Tyler Jung as the next chief medical officer. Jung was perviously the chief medical officer at DaVita HealthCare Partners Medical Group and Molina Healthcare. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of managed care, population health and innovative care delivery.

His experience as a practicing physician combined with his leadership roles in large medical groups gives him important insights into the challenges and opportunities facing our providers every day as we work to transform health care," said Rushika Fernandopulle, co-founder and CEO of Iora Health. "Tyler's experience aligning care decisions with patient goals and coordinating care to reduce unnecessary and harmful events will have direct impacts on patient and provider experiences as we continue to grow our care model across the country.”

Health tech company Grand Rounds announced that Dr. Ami Parekh will be joining the team as chief medical officer. Parekh previously served as the chief medical officer for population health and clinical integration at the University of San Francisco. 

“Nothing motivates me more than helping a patient, so it’s inspiring to join Grand Rounds and have the opportunity to tackle problems that face millions of patients across the country in a new way that is truly technology enabled,” Parekh said in a statement. “My hope as chief medical officer is to make a measurable impact on the more than 4.2 million lives that we currently cover and extend that coverage to new lives as well.”
