HealthPlix Technologies, developer of an AI-powered EMR software in India, has unveiled its latest offering, an analytics tool that assists doctors in tracking critical aspects of their patients' visits.

WHAT IT'S ABOUT

The ROBIN analytics software sits on the HealthPlix EMR. Its first feature release, an in-clinic Doctor Insights Dashboard, is a doctor-facing user interface "designed to easily track the critical aspects of their patient visits with predefined algorithms and quick links to visual charts".

The said dashboard provides doctors with a quick summary of patient demographics; a view of comparison and analysis of patient visit trends; actionable intelligence for making clinic upgrades; insights around follow-ups; and a feature that automates patient engagement.

WHY IT MATTERS

HealthPlix said it found through feedback of 6,000 clients that Indian doctors wanted a single simplified view of patient information that informs their practice decisions.

"It is one of the rare moments in the industry where a doctors’ opinion has led to the engineering of the all-new, one-click Doctor Insights Dashboard," HealthPlix co-founder and CEO Sandeep Gudibanda said. The dashboard, he said, delivers a "faster, smarter, and comprehensive way to achieve in-clinic success," enabling doctors to "drive better health outcomes at the point of care".

Through ROBIN, HealthPlix aims to help physicians "eliminate time-consuming tasks, deliver outstanding patient care, shorten wait times and elevate the in-clinic experience," Chaitanya Raju, the company's chief of AI, added.

MARKET SNAPSHOT

There are ongoing partnerships globally that are looking at data analytics to drive patient outcomes. One of them is the three-year collaboration between Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization and Holmusk, a Singapore-based data science firm. The companies said in July that they will employ data analytics and AI on real-world data sources to gain a "deeper" understanding of unmet patient needs. Insights to be derived from this could have applications across Otsuka's portfolio, they said.

In the EMR/EHR realm, Estonia-based digital therapeutics company Epillo Health Systems has introduced across Asia and the US its web-based INTRx Clinical system for clinics and pharmacies. This system assists clinicians to manage patient portfolio and health with features such as e-prescribing, teleconsultations, patient coordinated care, monitoring and analytics, among others. It also handles administrative and financial workflows, as well as appointments.

In other news, HealthPlix, whose physician network covers more than 370 cities in India, has recently raised $13.5 million in a Series B funding round led by California-based venture capital firm Lightspeed Ventures.
