TPIsoftware, Taipei Medical Alliance collaborate on resource sharing

The aim is to attract government and healthcare experts who can gain a better understanding of digitalization in healthcare.

TPIsoftware, a digital software company and Taipei Medical Alliance signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to accelerate healthcare technology and medical academia.

The aim of the alliance is to enable digital transformation and AI innovation in healthcare and clinical services via well planned resource sharing. 

The two companies will sponsor regular seminars, training sessions and academic events with the aim of deepening medical expertise and accelerating digitalization within the healthcare sector.

"This initiative brings together experts across diverse fields to pool resources and complement one another's strengths, which is targeted to ultimately improve the quality of healthcare services in Taiwan," Chung-Chieh Chao, chairman of Taipei Medical Alliance, said in a statement. 

"The implementation of AI-powered chatbots, modernization of hospital information systems and cloud transformation, along with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) launched by the Ministry of Health and Welfare that fosters seamless healthcare information exchange rely

on a tech partner with extensive experience in digitalization to build integrated healthcare management."

Ben Yao, chairman of TPIsoftware, said that teaming up with Taipei Medical Alliance shows the company's commitment to improving medical management and healthcare services. 

"Through the alliance, we make a concerted effort towards strengthening the physician-patient relationship, improving digital health initiatives and data sharing with innovative technology," Yao said in a statement.

THE LARGER TREND

In 2023,Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan adopted TPIsoftware's SysTalk.Chat.

The hospital used SysTalk.Chat to deliver optimized customer experience and build seamless communication between the hospital and patients.

In 2021, TPIsoftware joined forces with Taiwan-based First Life Insurance of First Financial Holding Co., to launch a new mobile health and fitness app that features gamified exercise.

The Qwalker app tracks an end user's all-day steps, walking miles and burned calories. It also gamifies a step tracker and allows end users to earn reward points after they complete a daily task, which can be redeemed for gifts and discounts. The mobile app links and syncs with Google Fit,  or Apple Health
