Polar watches monitor kids activity for rewards: NewWayFitness of Richmond, Virginia aims to increase physical activity time and decrease sedentary viewing time among children without relying on constant parent intervention. The company's PARS offering (Physical Activity Reward System) is a web-based program co-developed with the Virginia Biotechnology Research Park. PARS tracks the amount of time spent in physical activity by using a Polar Activity Watch, that streams the data to PARS portal where children and parents can monitor activity levels and track progress.
