San Francisco-based Sense.ly, which makes a virtual nurse assistant available through an app, announced it has raised $8 million in Series B funding in a round led by Chengwei Capital. Additional contributions came from Fenox Venture Capital, Bioved Ventures, the Mayo Clinic and the Stanford StarX fund. This brings the company’s total funding to date to at least $11.5 million. San Francisco-based Sense.ly raised $1.25 million from accelerator Launchpad Digital Health, Eastlink Capital Management, and five angel investors. The company was incubated in mobile operator Orange, but became an independent company in 2013.
