Updated with new information and a statement from Teladoc.

Dr. Lewis Levy, the Chief Medical Officer at recent Teladoc acquisition Best Doctors, has stepped into the Teladoc CMO role. Former Chief Medical Officer Dr. Henry DePhillips has left the company to become SVP and Chief Medical Officer at Cedar Gate Technologies, which makes healthcare performance analytics tools for value-based care. DePhillips started at Teladoc in 2013. Politico Morning eHealth first spotted the move on LinkedIn.

“Lew is a tremendous asset for Teladoc as we create a new paradigm for the virtual delivery of care, globally," CEO Jason Goravic said in an email to MobiHealthNews. "His distinguished medical career, international leadership, and proven track record in establishing clinical quality initiatives for the Best Doctors organization led to his appointment as our CMO. Henry has been an outstanding member of our executive team, a great evangelist of telehealth and Teladoc, and will surely serve Cedar Gate Technologies well.”
