Latest GP platform incorporates AI in care planning, documentation

A new AI-driven practice management platform has been launched in Australia.

The system called MediPortal automates tasks and offers smart suggestions for optimising a GP business. Based on a media release, it has features such as medical billing, an AI-powered care plan generator, and an AI scribe

The software has been integrated into Best Practice. 


PenCS adds stroke functionality to Practice Cloud

PenCS has introduced new functionality on its health informatics platform Practice Cloud that enables practices to support individuals at risk of stroke.

The Stroke Reports and Dashboards functionality on Practice Cloud emphasises prevention to help practices reduce stroke cases. 

"The improved functionality in Practice Cloud encourages communities to understand more about strokes to save lives. Practice Cloud’s new Stroke capability is addressing major care gaps in Australia by supporting practice teams to support individuals at risk of stroke," a media statement explained.

The launch of the stroke functionality on Practice Cloud follows the release of the chronic disease management and the MyMedicare-Aged Care Incentive modules over the past four months.


Healthengine's latest integration with dental practice software

Core Practice has integrated Healthengine, one of Australia's popular healthcare booking platforms, into its dental practice management offering. 

Based on a media release, the integration allows Core Practice users to directly and automatically publish their available appointments to Healthengine.
