Today SocialClimb, the maker of marketing software for providers, announced a $12 million investment from Resolve Growth Partners.
WHAT IT DOES
The company's tools focus primarily on reputation management and digital advertising that targets "more profitable" patients.
Core to the offering is automated messaging to encourage patients to leave reviews on various social platforms. It also tracks negative reviews for practices to address. The platform also includes tools to boost a practitioner or organization's online visibility, for instance through search engine optimization and streamlined Google My Business listings.
From there, a combination of predictive analytics and ROI measurement tools help practices identify and pursue potential patients.
SocialClimb says that its platform is HIPAA compliant, and integrates with a range of practice management systems including those from Epic or Athenahealth.
WHAT IT'S FOR
SocialClimb CEO Ty Allen said in a statement that the investment would help his company "further develop our disruptive technologies and expand into additional specialties and more hospital groups in need of our platform.”
MARKET SNAPSHOT
In terms of SocialClimb's competition, the online reputation management and digital marketing space got a shakeup late last year when Press Ganey acquired Doctor.com and secured a majority stake in Binary Fountain, moves that the company said would form "the largest healthcare consumerism platform in the industry."
Meanwhile, the past couple of years have seen fundings for startups like PatientPop, which raised $50 million in August; DoctorLogic, which raised $7 million in January; and NexHealth, which brought in $4.2 million in September 2019.
ON THE RECORD
“Digital reputation and targeted ads are critical for medical practices to acquire new patients in today’s market,” Jit Sinha, Resolve cofounder and managing director, said in a statement.
“SocialClimb has built the premier software offering for business leaders in healthcare seeking to grow their practices or service lines. We are excited to partner with the SocialClimb team as they transform healthcare marketing.”
