Interested speakers have until week’s end to submit a presentation proposal for the HIMSS Media and Healthcare IT News Privacy & Security Forum, slated for March 5-6 in San Diego.

Opportunities are open for security professionals from healthcare providers and payers, as well as government or academic institutions, to present insights that are practical, actionable and solutions-based in nature.

The two-day event gives healthcare security professionals best practices and expert advice about how to better manage risk to protect data assets.

As such, the presentations are slated to tackle several topic areas, including BYOD, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data loss prevention, HIPAA compliance, incidence response, medical device security and workarounds.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is Friday, January 9.
