WebMD Ignite, a division of WebMD, has launched Coach, a platform that aims to improve care-management programs by integrating into care managers' workflows allowing them to bring customized health education, videos and interactive resources to members.

Coach expands on the company's set of services designed for health plan care managers, including HealthHub Interactive, which bundles three WebMD Ignite applications: HealthHub, HealthAdvisor and HealthInteractive.

The Coach platform is designed to help nurses, program managers, health coaches and other professionals who are responsible for providing care management and population health strategies.

It also aims to accentuate a health plan's value by helping to improve member engagement and expand loyalty.

In addition, Coach includes analytics that delivers insight into member progress and engagement. It also tracks trends and generates population-wide reports that show which care-management programs are most effective.

"Coach delivers greater value for health plans by fitting seamlessly into the care manager's workflow so they can deliver personalized, evidence-based education to members that promotes behavioral changes. Together with our broader product suite, we're ensuring health plan care management programs are more impactful, data-driven and responsive to the unique needs of each member," Ann Bilyew, executive vice president of health and president of healthcare solutions group, at WebMD Ignite, said in a statement.

THE LARGER TREND

In July, WebMD Ignite announced Ignite Provider Suite Analytics Module and Referral Growth Targeting.

The offering expands upon WebMD Ignite’s set of HCP applications that include analytics, targeting capabilities, omnichannel activation services and referral-lift measurement.

The suite gives healthcare marketers the ability to identify actionable intelligence so they can create campaigns based on deep insights that enhance network integrity.

In April, WebMD Ignite introduced HealthHub Interactive for health plans, a suite of technology-driven solutions designed to power health-plan clinical programs.

HealthHub Interactive bundles three proven WebMD Ignite applications together, including HealthHub, HealthAdvisor and HealthInteractive.

In 2023, WebMD Ignite partnered with Freshpaint to bolster hospitals, health systems and health plans by configuring their patient engagement ecosystems to support compliance with HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.

That same year, WebMD Ignite unveiled HealthAdvisor, a health-risk-assessment solution intended to help providers drive patient engagement and acquisition, and to promote more preventive care to healthcare consumers. The offering provides an upgraded consumer-friendly experience with a more comprehensive editorial style.
