At long last, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has named a new chief privacy officer. The post has been vacant since Deven McGraw left the acting chief privacy officer post in October, and some in the industry speculated the Trump administration would not fill the post at all.
Instead, Kathryn Marchesini, the agency’s Senior Advisor and Deputy Director for Privacy, is being promoted into the role. Marchesini has been with ONC since 2010. Prior to that she worked in technology consulting. Read more at Healthcare IT News.

London-based BioBeats, which created the Hear and Now app and is developing a wellness solution for consumers using artificial intelligence, smartphones and wearable sensors, has a new CEO. Iain Martin, former managing director at UK greeting card company Moonpig, will take over as CEO while Dr. David Plans continues in the role of chief science officer.

Digital behavioral health platform AbleTo announced that James Bradley would join the company as Chairman of the Board. Bradley formerly served as chief information officer at UnitedHealthCare and as chairman at the National Committee for Quality Assurance. He has also held senior roles at Pfizer and Aetna in the past.

Gameified medication adherence company HealthPrize added a new executive chairman to its board of directors: Michael A Griffith, former president of the commercial division of inVentiv Health. He joined the board in December along with Hensley Evans, a principal at ZS Associates.

Integrated care delivery system CareMore Health has hired Robert Accordino, a former White House Fellow, to serve as chief of psychiatry and behavioral health. Accordino was appointed to the fellowship by President Barack Obama; while there he worked with the Secretary of Defense on healthcare-related matters.
"Dr. Accordino’s years of experience and knowledge in the field of psychiatry will play a vital role in advancing CareMore’s behavioral health programs and the care that we offer to our patients,” Dr. Sachin H.
