Starting October 2, HIMSS Media, a full-service digital information and in-person events group that supports HIMSS’ mission, has announced the global expansion of MobiHealthNews, the established leading provider of news, commentary and research for the US digital health community.
As a new global brand, MobiHealthNews will become a resource that readers around the world can turn to find out the latest developments, trends and analysis in healthcare technology, reporting on how regions facing similar health care challenges are leveraging the use of digital technology to enable sustainable development. In 2017, the publication was a Neal Awards finalist, regarded as the most prestigious awards for business-to-business editorial journalism in the US.
For the past ten years, MobiHealthNews has created a following of healthcare industry insiders that read its timely analysis and coverage, focusing on the consumerisation of healthcare and patient-facing mobile apps. In line with continued advancements in the area, MobiHealthNews is not rigid in coverage categories, and areas of interest include telemedicine, digital therapeutics or digital health investment, with each month showcasing initiatives under a specific editorial theme. For September, we looked at healthcare innovation solving problems and improving the patient experience.
The global launch of the platform will now mark the retirement of the longest-standing healthcare IT publication in the UK, the HIMSS British Journal of Healthcare Computing, and we thank you for your continued support. The same team that brought you BJ-HC will be joining the team at MobiHealthNews, and we look forward to covering the latest developments in UK digital health, from the growing health tech ecosystem of start-ups to the NHS’s drive for open data standards, as part of this new global team.
