Survey: 79 percent of US hospitals offer patient portal access via an app

The annual Most Wired hospitals report and survey results are out, and they include a bevy of metrics about health IT adoption in the US today. Boston hospital launches SMS ER wait times: Boston's MetroWest Medical Center launched a texting program last week that enables people to find out emergency room wait times.
