A new survey by the Consumer Health Information Corporation (CHIC) found that for all types of smartphone apps (not just health) 74 percent of apps were no longer used after the tenth try. In October 2009 AT&T announced plans to outfit Vitality's WiFi-enabled pill box caps with cellular connectivity to more efficiently track and encourage medication adherence among users of the caps, called GlowCaps.
