This week MobiHealthNews put together its first radio segment for ReachMD XM satellite radio. I'm co-hosting a series called the "Mobile Medical Minute" -- a two-minute update on mobile health news and trends for ReachMD's 300,000 listeners. Every other week Dr. Joseph Kim (check out his blog here) will take the mic to discuss mobile health news from his perspective.
For the first segment, I took a brief look at the opportunity for wireless-enabled medication adherence solutions. Companies mentioned include Vitality and Proteus Biomedical. You can listen to the Mobile Medical Minute online for free here (registration required, though).
We're excited to have the opportunity to extend MobiHealthNews to ReachMD's audience, which includes some 100,000 physicians. Be sure to let me know if you have any ideas for upcoming Mobile Medical Minute segments. Of course, sponsorship opportunities are available for those interested.
In unrelated news: Next week I'll be moderating a discussion at the Healthcare Unbound event in San Diego, California. As always the event looks to be a worthwhile networking opportunity with an interesting stable of speakers. My panel is focused on investment trends and venture capitalist perspectives for connected health startups. I'd be happy to pass along any readers' questions to my panel of venture capitalists -- send them my way or ping me @mobilehealth on Twitter.
Stay tuned for a full report next week.
